Why I am not against the Communist Christians

I have a christian anarchist group which is compiled of every kind of anarchist. Naturally with mixed company, people are bound to disagree – some so fervently they exile it altogether. In this group there is maybe 2 or 3 communists who actually post something against capitalism. Out of, oh 2000 anarch-capitalists I’m probably of the handful of who posts something about how great capitalism is…. Yet 2000 people get all riled up about how there’s communists in the group.

I’ve spoken with the communists about their views. Of course, they were all to happy to explain themselves. With consideration and respect I can’t help at disagree of course myself. However I can see very plainly they carry the spirit of christ about as much as the capitalists and therefore they are my brothers/sisters regardless. I am very much a capitalist, But I am first and foremost christian. Here’s the the bottom line of what I know for an absolute fact. Neither type of anarchy, communism or capitalism, will prevail in this world anyway – Scripture guarantees it, It’s almost a pointless argument.

We as Christians are here to wait for christ to rip down all of earth’s kingdoms and establish his millennial kingdom. In the meantime, we are like the Jews wondering in the wilderness. Frankly, what that entails, I’d like to think its a capitalist kingdom, but I’m open to being proven wrong. Until that day we all find out for sure, excuse me if I’m more interested in talking about the gospel.

Yes actually communism can work in millennial kingdom.

Oh sure, communism has failed miserably in times past. However it can not be ignored, scripture promises us each a mansion to be given to us. We will never thirst or hunger – so we can look past the possibility of bread lines. Jesus will be king of the kingdom – in itself makes ‘Christian Anarchism’ an oxymoron. Certainly, communism has failed in a imperfect world, but christ promises us he will make a perfect world.

….Then again, all of this can equally be achieved via capitalism. Yes labor has been exploited even under the name “Free Market”.  Certainly, corporations have and can replace the state – in fact the current president of America views the state as such a corporation that needs to be more efficient. Just as the communists so often contend, there is flaws in capitalism as well, though this is neo-conservativism/liberalism not anarch capitalism…. Again we are in a imperfect world. Capitalism can be perfected in Christ kingdom as it has just as much failed as communism in many regards. There are even things to be doubtful of Ludwig Von Mises’s presented model. The problem both sides know and fear is that, authority always has a way of centralizing itself. Whether socialist or capitalist – this is central to our dilemma.

Who knows – maybe we’ll find out the Anarch-Primitives had it right this whole time and were all wrong…

Since I’m thinking about Moses…

With that said, I’m reminded of something Moses said to the Israelite’s. After he discovered they were worshiping the golden cow. They broke out in argument with each other and immediately began splitting up. Those who wanted to follow the cow, and those who wanted to wonder around with Moses.

Moses shouted to the people who stood by him:

“Lay Them Waste

And they slathered those who wanted to follow the cow….

I look at the members in my Facebook group who want to leave, just because there’s 2 or 3  communists who posted about communism or capitialist said this and that. I can’t help at wonder if this would be the same reaction if Jesus said when he establishes his kingdom “We’re going to be a communist society”.  Yet I should say the same for the communists who get themselves in a uproar over the capitalist out come…. My heart would be grieved if christ gave me just such an order as Moses on that day – that I should have to boot a person out of his kingdom just over economic policy. Though, I don’t think it will come to that.

The last fact is, both of these ideas are man made and founded entirely by unashamed and fervent Athiests. Karl Marx, David Gaeber, Ayn Rand, Ludwig Mises – all of them made it no secrete they despise Christianity. Why were even listening to them is hypocrisy in of it self. Neither capitalist or communist knows what to expect when Christ’s kingdom comes, we can only follow in Christ’s general direction as far as ideals. We ourselves are not going to be the authors of his constitution – and I’m fairly sure he has something entirely different in mind.

Stop your bickering and just promote what you believe, not complain about what you disagree with in the meantime. My fellow capitalists I am ashamed in how sensitive you can be considering your the majority anyway :-/

The Greatest Sinner – a prayer

“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?”Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him,“You have judged rightly.”- Luke 7: 41 – 43

This short parable, is so telling about me. I am the man who owes 500 denarii… 5000 denarii more likely. My sins are so many, and even after I am forgiven still I fight with myself.

I am proud and boastful – downright arrogant. I burn with lust nearly every night Insufferably. I am slothful and indifferent. I lack manners or concern for others feelings…. I go to God and pray constantly to heal this side me, I hold back as best I can in life. I pray the spirit works in me away these things… Yet I am but a mild improvement after many years…. I am a man, that’s all I can be.

Yet I’m told by some regardless of my belief in Christ I’m doomed to hellfire. I’m told I do not have the best of fruits of the spirit,  therefore I do not carry it at all – but it only strengthens my faith. While my sins are many – foolishness is thankfully not one of them.

Thank you God for grace, even for a wretched creature like me. Thank you for not judging me the way people do. Thank you for telling me you will take me as I am and make me someday perfect. I know for certain I can have faith in none other to want me. I am truely humbled, and exalt your mercy. My aligence and my service is in you. If it’s deemed not good enough, I desire your wrath as I truely deserve it.

I know until it’s proven, to no one’s doubt, my name is in the book of life, my flesh will be gone and my spirit can only cling to you. I can do no other, and I’m grateful thats all you ask of me. Amen

Easy Believeist

In all the years I have been a christian. I have maintained that scripture is the only reliable source of information. In my walk, I believed that so much I have only rested my understanding based on what I’ve read in scripture, with very minimal input from the world….
That said, let me tell you what I’ve just discovered about myself that I didn’t know before….

I am an Easy Believeist 🙂

I don’t believe you should say the sinners prayer to be saved. I believe that you should do it because you believe it is the truth. I believe that Jesus did infact live and die then resurrected, for our sins for anyone who believes on him can have eternal life. I also believe the moral law is not a command, it is an instructor.

My views and my conscience is only bound to the word of God. To say something contrary to scripture, for me is just unthinkable…. I can not to the best of my knowledge even want to lie. If I am in error, I believe I must be corrected and shown indefinitely why I am wrong based on scripture alone or just plain reason that is based on scripture alone.

I have sat with many easy Believeist like myself and found something interesting. We all have the same story to tell. We all started from some legalistic church or another, whom told us over and over to read the Bible…. Unfortunately for them, we did read the bible and saw very plainly what was wrong with thier theology as we grew in Christ.

So that’s me and what I’ve discovered about myself.

Feet of Iron, Mixed with Clay

Alot of people are familiar with King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in the book of Daniel… but it’s plain to see that many havn’t put its interpretation together or really allowed it to sink in….

Any time a person is looking for continuity of ideas. Any time we are debating ideals and searching for a middle ground. Any time a politician says “bipartisanship” or “reach across the aisle” or “come to center”…. We are seeing someone who might understand the symptoms of the battle, but it hasn’t really registered with them.

All they want is unity, in a world where unity is impossible.

We are in the last kingdom of the earth right now. If you think about the reason for our lack of continuity, it comes from all of us being very self educated people. We are not a monarchy society, rather a democracy. There isn’t a single time in history that every nation across he globe was a democracy. This period is represented well by king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of kingdoms

….The feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom, but some of the firmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle. As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay. Daniel 2:41-43

Another one of Daniel’s prophecy talks about us being very self educated people… Though you may also be aware Jesus said the same thing.

Daniel 12:
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.

If you find yourself ever trying to agree with someone, or get them to agree with you – remember this has been prophesied. If you are thinking this lack of “Unity” will ultimately lead to destruction on a global scale… Well your absolutely right… That would be the point. Just as Daniel concluded with the kings vision…

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.” – Daniel 2: 44-45

As Christians, what do we do with this?

We ourselves are just as divided as Republicans and Democrats.

The only thing we can ever agree on is that we disagree. I think it’s best we only trust in what the bible says, nothing else man says or even says what the bible  says. That is the source of our only truth, in a chaotic world full of facts.

Even on this conclusion, I know people will not understand what I’m saying or will profusely disagree. And so, Anyone who has an ear, let them hear me repeat myself. We have no unity, nor will we  until Jesus destroys all the kingdoms of the earth. It is inevitable one way or another. The very best you can do for yourself is pick the side of Jesus, or pick the side of the world. Anything in between these 2 extremes is chaos and confusion.

Taxation is Theft

“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s” – Jesus

Whenever I hear a fellow christian justify paying taxes, the first thing that always comes out of their mouth is “Render unto Caesar…”

First of all, We don’t live under roman law anymore, Caesar, Emporers/Kings in general, is

When our founders said “There will be no king in America” They meant “Jesus is the King, therefore there is no room for another king”, And they meant it literally. This is why they instead established a government centered on public servitude and voluntarism…. that is – a society of people that do things for each other on their own without the government involved.

a distant memory – so distant infact, none of us remember them. Our government structure in America is based on a concept, Jesus himself introduced into the world, called “Servant Leadership”…. We no longer kiss kings rings, instead their job is to work for us,  the people. For this reason and many others, America is a Christian Nation. Though I know Satan would beguile you to believe something different and lead our nation into bondage. With that said; Say we had a servant who took our money from our checks every week automatically without even asking. Then, deliberately and consistently disobeyed virtually everyone of our orders…. In ancient Israel, such a wicked servant would not have been tolerated.

This is precisely the arrogance of our politicians and level of corruption in today’s America. It’s so bad infact, we the masters of the servants have been tricked into thinking our public servants are actually the masters… Yet, this very verse christians use to defend the servants is in itself taken well out of context. Which leads me to the next point…

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and render unto God what is God’s. OK, everything comes from God so if I render everything to Him, I have nothing left to render unto Caesar. Caesar owns nothing, but neither do I unless given to me by God. – anonymous

Heres the trouble with “Taxes”, if I may get a bit philosophical. The government views YOU as THEIR property simply by you being born as a ‘citizen’. That means, they view the product of your labor also belongs to them. Yet YOU the individual, have no debt to the government, you just happened to be born. Get it? if not, then I’ll spell it out another way – It’s called Slavery. The spirit of the law’s very foundation and view point in regards to taxes is the individual is property of the state via birth. This is contrary to the US constitution in it’s entirety which is based on the principle of ‘self ownership’ – that is you own yourself legally speaking. Thus we see how uncle sam is violating both the law of the land as well as scripture. And what happens if you don’t pay?…..    But only The Mafia or even common criminals resort to coercing their targets to comply, not Government Bureaucrats :O

Does anyone remember when Obama said: “If you got a buisness, you didn’t build that buisness. Somebody else made that happen”…. I’m not sure how else I can spell this out except from the horses mouth.

Romans 13

Another one for paying taxes that always comes up is Romans 13…. Yet again I would find myself explaining what I already explained about “Servant Leadership” style government – the rule of law in this country is The United States Constitution – not The Roman Republic under Caesar… Since I’ve already explained that, I wont bother mentioning it much further.

None of this chapter has anything to do with taxes  in fact it states clearly we are only obligated to Christs law – as defined. If your getting ready to tell me about “tributes”, It’s actually illegal for any government office/branch to demand ‘Tributes’ or even accept gifts in this country, (don’t give them Ideas either). Further, none of us owe the government a cent from birth and so we have no debt with the government to fulfill in accordance to Romans 13. The only laws  as Christians we are bound to are Christs law as it is described in this very chapter. Otherwise It’s pointless to even bring this misnomer up.

However, in regards to this common misinterpretation of Romans 13 let me ask you, whats wrong with Romans 12 and Romans 14? Paul wasn’t saying to the Romans “Go along with whatever the government says we have to go along with”. If that were the case, under the laws of ancient Rome at the very time he wrote his letter to the romans, Christians could not legally be christian, therefore the entire religion would not exist today as it would be DOA. Every early christian would have said:  “Paul says we have to listen to caesar, and caesar says we must be pagan. So since God ordains we follow the roman law, so much for Jesus and salvation and eternal life”

Paul was more or less saying what Christ said about” be as gentle as doves, and as wise as serpents”…. It has nothing to do with “We must go along to get along” – Infact EVERYTHING in Scripture is contrary to “maintain the status quo”. So excuse me if I sound a bit like a radical here, but I am nothing more then a devout christian… In regards to Romans 13, its another example of their being a whole book surrounding a single verse. context Context, CONTEXT!!

What about the Roads!!

Consider roads
What If I told you, that you pay 3000 times over for the roads? Your paying taxes to pay the state government to pay a private company to pave the roads. Plus, your paying federal taxes to pay the state Road Department. The asphalt company pays taxes to make the asphalt. The equipment manufacturer pays taxes to make the things to put the asphalt on the road. The delivery company pays taxes to deliver the asphalt and machinery to the construction company. AND the construction campany pays taxes on their income received from the government!

All of these taxes pile up on the end expense, which is an invisible number that comes to YOU as a percentage of your income.

All I’m saying is; Imagine if we cut the middle man out and paid for the roads directly much like we do the water bill or garbage bill?

Your looking at about a $10 road company direct pay yearly bill.
I havnt even mentioned, paint, road signs, lights, bridges, cement…. all of this is taxed – and all the cost get handed to you.

… Oh I’m crazy right… Its true, we don’t even need to pay taxes to pave the roads. This was in fact how we built the roads in America, where they are in the first place!!

I am just going to end all this with a verse I think speaks to volumes on the matter of governments impact on today’s average christian life. For anyone whos first instinct is to say “Render unto caesar” in regards to taxes. They ignore scripture and the history of this nation’s ideals, and the almighty gods hand at work in our Revolution – which started over a 3 cent tea tax. Their go along to get along answer, vastly resembles:

But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. – John 19:15

You keep saying ‘Heretic’ like it’s a bad thing

NOUN -a person believing in or practicing religious heresy. a person holding an opinion at odds with what is generally accepted.

synonyms: dissenter · nonconformist · freethinker ·

antonyms: conformist

Little do many people realize Jesus was indeed a religious heretic. He stood against the pharisee’s and Sadducee corruption of Judea. Holding and preaching every view completely opposite of this elitist system. He gathered masses of people by the thousands, thus making his heretical views extremely dangerous as it undermined the establishments authority – therefore he must be put to death. As the story goes, it just so happened, Death wasn’t enough…. and let me ask you this – where are the pharisee’s debating the law today 2000 years later and where is the gospel of Christ?

When one looks into church history, it doesn’t take very long at all to find a profound and influential leader whom was labeled a ‘Heretic’. In fact I’m convinced Heretics are among the best Christians more often then not. Martin Luther, Ron Paul, C.S. Lewis, Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Ken Ham, Apostle Paul, etc etc…; Their all a bunch of heretics, I’m proud to say, that have had their hand in shaping a good many of my views.

Though I would be remissed to neglect the other kind of heretic as there are many false prophets out there aswell. Yet for them I feel is fairly self explanatory. The point of this little article is, be mindful how this word ‘Heretic’ is used. It could just as easily be a compliment 😉 If you are a brother/sister in Christ, receiving the spirit and born again- I’m glad to be a heretic along with you.

Has anyone ever heard of a game currently in development called “Titanic: Honor and Glory”? The creators released a demo of their work in progress, some time ago, where you can walk around first class and see the digital reconstruction of the Titanic. The creators took special care to get every detail of the ship 100% correct to the original – right down to the very bolts. There’s 2 demos actually, both are free, the first tours parts of the third class – the second tours 1st class. You can download them by Clicking Here if interested. The game itself is still in development but go ahead check out what they’ve done so far. 😉

This article isnt about ‘Titanic: Honor and Glory’ however – though from what Ive seen they did an amazing job. Its about Titanic itself. Having some experience for myself with what was on board Titanic, Today I was on Expedia looking for a Caribbean cruise, and the entire time I was thinking – “Titanic didn’t even have that or this”. Infact every cruise ship I found today is probably a MILLION times more luxurious then the Titanic – at about the same price or cheaper adjusted for inflation. Even more gratifying is whether you are rich or poor, no one is segregated from all the amenities (Including Life Boats). If It is true to say Titanic was the height of technological achievement of that time, I am only left to wonder why do we romanticize it so much today… After all, that particular boat was nothing in size and luxury compared to say the Queen Mary 2 and it couldn’t even make its first trip :-/

Really, I myself was pretty let down just by seeing the real Titanic in digital form. It’s nothing at all in grandeur compared to even a cheap carnival cruise… So why the fuss over it 100+ years later?

3rd Class Ticket for Titanic.

At the time, segregation in Europe was the way of every ones life. Every person had their role and their place, and this particularly applied to poor people. Lets start at ticket price. For 3rd class it was (adjusted to inflation and currency exchange) $793 usd – 1st class was $2975 usd… Lets say I was a poor person and wanted to buy a first class ticket, and had $3k to do so… Thats not extraordinary really, Poor people have good money too, even back then surely one of them could have swinged it.. Well, tough spit I’m not legally allowed to buy the first class ticket… The ticket master takes $793 usd (then 3 pounds) out of the 3k I handed him, and gives me a 3rd class ticket whether I want it or not. So I get on the boat, As a single male I’m not allowed to eat with the woman and children- so my dining hall is separate from the main one. I’m with all the rowdy bachelors whom fight and drink for fun at dinner. Stuck on this boat with bread and water for 2 weeks, there is a scheduled time of when I’m allowed to crawl out from below deck to walk around the open top deck for fresh sea air- a whopping 1 hour a day… Coincidentally the same time rich peoples dogs are walked… So basically, as a paying customer, I’m treated as step below an inmate in jail…. OH but It gets better….

1st class Ticket for the Titanic

article-2401724-1b6eff93000005dc-42_964x752If 3rd class sounds bad wait until you see what I get out of 1st class. Oh sure things are prettier, its amazing how sterile the ship actually can be for Victorian luxury. I just shelled out $3000 for a cramped room the size of my bathroom though. Then there is all these rules I have to follow. No food in the room, There’s 8 meals a day, Change cloths before every meal, Coffee service stops at 9 am (an ungodly hour to cut off coffee)…

Let me stop there because really just that is very telling… Lets say I’m a 1st class girl. Well I have to figure out where to put all these dresses in my cramped room (and yes titanic 1st class rooms were surprisingly tiny). I have to walk up and down stairs, back and forth, all day changing my cloths and going to some meal with no coffee. Each dress takes 30 mins to change into because they’re so complicated… Of course the dinning room is a 20 min walk… Times that by 8- 1 hour meals a day I’ll let you do the math… If I say “Hey I’m going to skip a meal and do something else” – Guess what, my butler comes chasing me down and forces me to change my cloths and go eat. So sure I can walk on deck pretty much all day, But only because that’s a shortcut between my room and the dinning room. Whats worse, As a lady I’m not allowed to drink to get through this 2 week long prison. Additionally, shoveling all this food down my throat doesn’t help me fit into a girdle… Like Rose on that movie, the only escape is jumping off the boat… I mean, who ever would have thought simply eating is a 14 hour a day job?

In first class I would probably be the one to organize a riot with the other ladies during tea time, while the men are away busy having all the fun… This song no doubt would be me in first class on the Titanic… Clearly I’m one of those filthy American woman, and to everyone’s misfortune, my husband happens to own an important rail line 😛

Today’s cruise ships

Rich or poor, man or woman, you can eat whenever you feel like – if you feel like. You can wear the same cloths all day, or even all week if you want. There’s a broad array of endless entertainment and even the cheapest rooms are typically twice the size of Titanic’s 1st class rooms. Pools are heated, massages are… Available! Men and woman alike can drink… and of course there’s plenty of life boats.

The thing is, all of this ‘modern’ stuff was perfectly available at the time of the Titanic – It’s really just social changes that made all the difference. We don’t segregate people or subjugate them to trivial social expectations anymore – and its just that 1 difference that makes a modern cruise ship so fantastic. There’s only 1 rule today: “Have Fun”- and if you break that rule, that’s ok too – just make sure you pay before you board the ship.

If I had told people on Titanic in 1912 that one day every passenger ship had pretty much no rules at all, they would think I was describing… CHAOS!! Apocalyptic Anarchy!! What if the peasants hijack the ship and sail off as pirates?! Woman Drinking vodka… With men?!!  Mixing social classes is enough in itself to make their head spin. The rest would give them a heart attack. The entire universe simply unravels in their minds, It’s simply unthinkable in 1912. Yet for all the cruise ships out there without all these rules and regulations, people act generally very civilized, if not more so then those on Titanic… (Just thinking about locking people below deck on a sinking ship, is a pretty uncivilized thing to do IMHO)

I’ve come to find that as I mature as a christian, I’ve become more liberal about certain things. ‘No Rules’ is a good rule in my opinion, it’s what defines ‘grace’ through Christ and oddly enough obedience to our father. Yet even today I look at some Christians and I’m a bit amazed they talk an awful lot about ‘grace’ and ‘mercy’ but never seem to have looked at the very definition of the words. I am of the mind it is truly Satan that started all these trivial rules presented on the Titanic, In much the same way he seems set on bounding Christians to the laws of Moses or some other code of conduct…. Calvinist in particular often make me scratch my head.

The fact is a modern cruise ship is vastly preferable to the Titanic no matter how much people romanticize the ship – in much the same direction Salvation in Christ is preferable to the Laws of Moses. We are free to enjoy ourselves in Christ and express our pleasure however we see fit 🙂 ‘Gospel’ means ‘Good News’, and the good news is this:

We are Liberated in his Spirit

Not Saved By Works….

Of all the things that bring up the absolute most controversy in christendom is the old Grace vs. Works debate. What I think makes this controversial is, as Christians most of us understand this in different ways. Those of us who for the most part get it know full well their are those who abuse it… Easily, and we’ve seen plenty of people do so. We ourselves whom, I would contend, are actually in the spirit learn to be very careful in how we talk about “Grace” or “salvation”.

I was in this very debate today with someone and I just found something very interesting. I said something, then he completely disagreed with me. Then he went on telling me what he thought about it… As I listened carefully, he basically said the exact same thing I said… I simply asked him, “what part of what I said did you disagree with?”. He paused, and said that he forgot with a chuckle… I was left to tell him I think we agree entirely with each other but perhaps from a different direction. The thing is, I’ve found myself in this very same conclusion on this very topic with just about every christian I ever met… Which is why I maintained earlier, it seems we each understand Grace a bit differently and are very careful about how we describe it to each other…

I felt compelled to spell this out before I went on to the topic of salvation and grace itself. I just want to break down any barriers the reader may have, and ask that you respect my opinion and consider what I already said. Perhaps you have another way of putting it, or even understanding it. In either case, you can tell me all about it in the comments section below 🙂

It’s not by works we are judged by god, they are as wrags to the lord… yet we are asked by christ to poduce good works anyway… but we are saved by “grace and mercy”… It’s quite convoluted when you write it out like that, but yes and the bible does clarify it, probably more so in Galatians. I think the best way to do this is go step by step.

1. Your born, and by default your worthy of damnation. You can not go to heaven, because your not a perfect person.

2. However, god has a deal for you. Simply accept Jesus, his son, as your savior and don’t worry about your in perfection. Now you go to heaven.

3. Jesus himself says, you must be born again and he will give you his spirit. You will be saved only by receiving the spirit, not by works.

4. Then Jesus says “Go and Sin no more” also “give to the needy, heal the sick, do this or that and your rewards in heaven will be great. He also gives us a parable about talents which in itself is drenched in doing works…

So here’s where we are… it’s all contradicting isn’t it.

Galations, Galations, Galations. This very confused arguement is answered in probably the shortest book in the Bible, no one ever seems to pay attention to. I would contend it’s probably Satans doing as he doesn’t want you reading Galations!!

Now I will go through Galations in a minute, but before I do let me just explain this as best I can.

#3, we are born again and receive the spirit from Jesus… Aka the Holy spirit.. The spirit is what makes everything make sense. What people argue about this depends on how much they invest into spiritual things actually. In their view the spirit is meaningless because it isn’t physical, therefore – I believe, they believe it has little to none merit or its something to take lightly… Then there’s people like myself the spirit is just as real as whats physical. I can feel it the same way I feel a fire burning or a gust of air. There’s times I hear it guide my instincts and conscience and times I don’t.. overall I am convinced entirely God was being litteral when he told the prophet Ezekiel

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.

I also believe Ezekiel actually did prophesied Jesus many centuries beforehand when Jesus said:

John 16:5-7

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

(Just to add a bit of context, he said this before he was crucified)… where this puts us Christians is indeed we are given a brand new spirit. We are literally born again into a whole new person. Though I would agree, not everyone takes this as literally as I do, hence why I myself can be skeptical sometimes…

But what about the law?

There is no other law other then The Royal Law that we are bound to particularly this applies to the laws of Moses. Now there’s lots of ways that contention can go, but it boils down to something very simple. The spirit replaces the law. The spirit guides your conscience and tells you what to do. AND because it is now your spirit, your wanting and willing to do it…

To some degree I think a better way of describing this is, think of it as reprogramming your heart. Jesus wipes away the old hard drive and downloads all new software. In much the same way my laptop went from windows 8 to windows 10, I myself became a saved person in christ. In the very same manner my computer wants to include a start button and tiles on the home screen, I myself want to serve the Lord and do what ever it is he tasks me to do…. In that understanding how can I sin when I am simply responding to my program?

Yes works are expected, even though they are useless… There expected because it’s part of the program:

Romans 2:14-16 – for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

2 Corinthians 3:3 – clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

Hebrews 8:10 – For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

I would contend Christ’s way of doing things is even better then Moses… because it’s genuine, your works come from your heart, not because you were following a list of rules written down… This is God, not the dmv driving manual or the Tax code with the IRS. You as a person are not bound to the law but have freedom within the law, because your own will is shifted into alignment with the will of the law.

Now even as a Christian you will not be a perfect person, I guarantee it. BUT it’s because you have this spirit is what makes you alright with god and worthy of heaven… ok let me clarify, You repented to christ, he gave you his spirit, now your worthy of heaven… The only way to get the spirit is through christ… but anyway. You will still make mistakes, you will still sin, and you won’t be entirely connected to god all the time as you probably should… It doesn’t entirely matter, because it relies on your commitment to the spirit… Have you heard the song “This little light of mine” – What do you think it was talking about?
The spirit does need maintenance over time, all christ asks is that you just keep it burning 😉 AND the spirit will make that easy to do actually… in a way I think the spirit works a bit like a crutch, just in my experience… maybe it’s the equivalent of driving a car with a license. The day comes and you don’t renew your license yet keep driving your car… With the DMV’S permission… So ask yourself this, are you still capable of driving the car without a piece of plastic in your wallet if the DMV says ‘go ahead’? Maybe that’s just too much for our purposes here.

So NO, you can’t just do whatever you want. The works you do come from receiving the spirit, that’s why it’s expected. Only then you can understand what it is you are judging with righteous judgement…. that is the “fruit of the spirit”… Your not judging the person parsè
your judging whether or not this is a person who carries the same spirit as you do. If they do not you are told to either evangelize, or walk away. In either decision, base it on your instinct which is guided by the spirit.

What Christ ultimately wants is authenticity from people hence why he says his laws are even stricter then Moses. He doesn’t even want you to lust for another girl other then your wife, where as with Moses laws, you can atleast take a look…

The wisdom of this new system is you can’t really force people to be Christian – but you can force them to talk about Jesus. And sure they can talk about him when you hold a gun to their head. What it doesn’t mean is they have his spirit… can you see the difference? If not, how many people in your church do you suspect is just there to socialize, and show off how ‘christian’ they are… yet something seems to be missing from them…

… At least I think my description makes a lot better sense at least say to a modern reader… Not to say the Bible needs an ‘upgrade’, rather someone just needs to explain it sometimes within a framework people can understand.

“To be convinced in our hearts that we have forgiveness of sins and peace with God by grace alone is the hardest thing.” – ‘Martin Luther, Commentary on Galatians’ 1522

I think what confuses people about the book of Galations is a couple things:

1. It’s very short, and it’s easy to undermine just on appearance.

2. It talks alot about Abraham and Jesus and the law. Plus it addresses a specific situations… it can be a little convoluted, there is a lot of context to understand with it.

I Highly recommend Martin Luther’s (Protestant reformer) book ‘Commentary on the Book of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians.’
The reason being Luther gives alot of the back ground as he goes through the book and breaks it down step by step.. It helps add context, and Luther did a very good job of it. If you can only barely understand what I’ve already had to say about grace then maybe, Luther’s book can help you fill in the holes for yourself. None the less, it is SO important as Christians we tackle this basic concept – as satan will try to take away this thing from us that many take for granted.

In another article I was talking about how our own preconceived ideas can be mental blocks when reading the Bible…. Galations in particular would be one of those pitfalls for many people. I know you’ve heard you need to repent to christ, but let me through a wrench in the gears of your mind by asking; Why, do you need to repent to christ?

That’s precisely the question Galations answers aswell as

“How does repentence in christ work, what does it entail?”…. or ” Whats in the terms of service agreement” – if you will…

Abraham is an excellent example of how much the laws of Moses matter. The reason being Abraham was clearly found righteous by God, even though he himself was not bound by the law of Moses in any way…. he came almost 500 years before Moses was even born, after all… yet by faith and dedication to God alone righteousness was accounted to him by god. This is why Paul writes about Abraham ALOT in Galations. He names specific things Abraham did and didn’t do like circumcision, and Lamb sacrifices, etc etc… which as Paul explains to the church of Galatia is unnecessary. Paul also talks about the spirit and why we do the things christ commands us. He talks about why Jesus died on the cross, what and why the prophets said what they said… and the whole picture surrounding this issue of “Grace”…

Yet for how simple of a message grace is, Martin Luther was correct in saying: To be convinced in our hearts that we have forgiveness of sins and peace with God by grace alone is the hardest thing.

Grace alone through faith alone given by Christ alone as the Bible alone Explains it

As Christians we believe that indeed Jesus is the Messiah the prophets spoke about. That alone is the foundation of our “faith”.

Think about what a big leap that actually entails…. Many Christians today I am convinced will say this is their belief or some degree of it thereof… Yet I can tell they don’t really put much thought into it… Jesus could have been false prophet. He might not have even existed… maybe he never rose again, after all the only account we have of his resurrection comes to us by the apostles… whom were men obsessed in starting a kind of ‘movement’…. If I were a Pharisee in the time of christ, I could think of a hundred million ways that indeed Jesus was not THE ‘messiah’…. However, I am not a Pharisee in ancient Israel. Yet I challenge you to look at the disciples from their direction….

They were not without good intentions. Infact they really did honestly want to always do the right thing, and they put a good deal of effort into what they thought that was…. Their mistake however was, they were trying to maintain the status quo, meanwhile their own god was moving on to something else entirely… You might say they were like Congress or the senate, maybe the EU or UN. They were leaders who were not really leadership material, and they used burrocrasy as a crutch for their inability to adapt to situations as they arose… in the case of Jesus, his problem was he challenged that status quo. Whats worse he had followers… A lot of them…

That is a very dangerous man…

So the question isnt “Do you believe Jesus is the messiah”- Rather ask yourself this.
Why do you believe Jesus is indeed the Messiah?

As for myself I agree with atleast one pharasee who said in the book of acts:

“Let these men go, if what they say is not from god it will not be lasting. But if it is from god let it continue and grow”

It’s been over 2000 years since he said that, and I would say his theory has been proven correct. 😉

God would not have let this deception continue this long in his name if Jesus was not the Messiah. Nor would their be such force in empty lies or ramblings of mad men. The apostles simply told what they saw to ancient people, and I believe their account. More so I have read the real history of Christianity and where the bible comes from and where people get their ideas from. I am convinced with absolute certainty the account I have been given is 100% in the apostles own words. While all of this was only revealed to me after I became Christian in the first place, I think what brought my faith into Christ was simply his message… Things he said, I had no idea he said, as many churches never taught me as a kid. I was spoon fed fire and brimstone by one church the other loaded me up on candy and puppet shows.. while these churches have their own sins to consider, I’m the sheep who eventually made it back to the flock. And it can only by the hand of a shepherd am I here, as I was a very far gone lost person.

Listen carefully. Do not simply agree with what I said, as I may only answer for myself why I believe Christ is the Messiah. Reflect on your own reasons, it may be deeper then that, it might be shallow. Either way what matters is that your on his side.

5 things Jesus might say to today’s Gay Community

1. I Love You.

Jesus hung around prostitutes, thieves, and all sorts of social outcasts and sinners – I would imagine hanging around a gay guy wouldn’t be too far fetched for him either. Christ himself, after all was an outcast. However, it’s because he loved these black sheep of society he taught them there’s a better way and “sin no more”. In the case of gay people, yes they are sinners – just like everyone else. In Christ’s circle, he doesn’t expect perfection rather you atleast try to better yourself and be saved by him.

Does that mean one must continue to be gay?

To be honest I can not answer that with certainty… In fact I think it’s a personal thing, for many reasons i don’t entirely think is worth getting into. What I know for a fact is if a gay person truly wishes to walk with christ, he will be lead through the spirit. If that includes not being gay anymore, then let it be so. I also know for certain many people, even Christians undermine that spirit which leads us – Don’t! It’s there for a reason and it very much does work. For some gay Christians I know, whom are very devoted and whom I judge on their fruits, that Spirit takes them many places – yet some have remained gay for well over 40 years +/-, others felt a calling to be straight. At the end of the day Christ would say that he loves you and wants you to be yourself, and lead you to stability in life, and eternal life there after.

2. Thou shalt not commit adultery

Walk into any gay bar or say a site like ‘Adam for Adam’, or even a gay pride parade. Something so obvious and undeniable to anyone with half a brain is sex is EVERYWHERE in the gay community!

Do you really think Jesus would be ‘tolerant’ of this?

More then that the very name of the  website ‘Adam for Adam’ is a mockery to god – it’s meant to reverse ‘Adam and eve’ as direct opposition… Frankly, and simply put. NO. Jesus would call this an abomination, and all participants as children of satan – because it is is quiet literally satanic in its nature. The Gay “community”, is a circus. It is Busses full of a sausage party wrapped in glitter and rainbows, on the fast lane highway to hell under the name “tolerance” or “equality”. If you don’t believe me, just look at the people whom support it and partake in it whilst openly rejecting God in every way, and tell me something as if I were born yesterday….

In addition, let me remind you being gay wasn’t always in fashion. There was a time it was just as much Democrats whom rejected it. The only reason they pounced on it is to satisfy their own hypocrisy and lubricate their lobbyist. It has nothing to do with tolerance or equality. This was the very thing Christ opposed with the Pharisees and Sadducees with animent vigor…. which leads me to my next point.

3. The definition of ‘love’.

There are 2 definitions of love in the world. 1 is a false love, the other is true. When Christ says he “loves” you, he means he doesn’t want you to burn in hell. He doesn’t want you to trap yourself in sordid relationships that only last a year or so – only to go on to the next sordid relationship. He wants to lead you, because your an imperfect person with no direction – and he wants that direction to be towards his father’s kingdom. Like a father to you, sometimes he will spank you, other times he will take you camping. He does these things and says some things that disagree with liberal rhetoric and hurt some people’s feelings because he loves you. Contrarily, When the dark forces of this world say they “love” you  they are often lieing. It’s fairly common place to present a false love for support in whatever someone is doing. A false love leads to misery, control/manipulation. It comes on the grounds of empty promises, candy and rosey colored lenses. It often comes with a “do what you want” attitude, or in some way mockery of the opposite. Do not be so easily deceived between the 2…

Christ offers meat, where the world will fill you up on junk food.

4. The state doesn’t decide who can/can’t get married.

Many people really don’t understand just how much a libertarian Christ was. Nope he wasn’t liberal, nor was he a republican- yet not exactly something inbetween either- rather something else entirely. While he preached “render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars” in regards to taxes, he also preached “put not your hope in princes and courts”. In addition what many forget, “marriage” in scripture doesn’t even include a pastor… In a word, people just moved in with each other and threw a little party…. Even more shocking to some modern Christians, early protestant reformers like Luther, or Calvin and especially the early Baptist movement  strongly opposed the church requiring marriage licenses…. I could go on and on with this one, but I will skip to the point.

In the eyes of god, a couple who commits to a life together is married – without the government’s approval, or even societies approval. The basic requirement is simply “commitment”.

In the case of homosexuality, I refer your interest to David and Johnathan. While many maintain this was a platonic relationship,  I’m sorry to disagree – my reason for such is, Johnathan did take his clothes off and as scripture says  “their souls were knit together as one”…. This is the Bibles poetic way of saying “sex”. Also, David made a “covenant” with Johnathan in a field in some wilderness while running from Jonathan’s father… in scripture “covenant” always means “marriage”… atleast in the KJV

Though I could as easily say “yes the scriptures/god do approve gay marriage” – really I am highlighting the lack thereof a priest, a ceremony, a big display, and a license. If any government was involved, it was because David was a fugitive running from the king and they were hiding. :-/ However, I guess I’m saying 2 things at once – my main point being, don’t worry about what the government thinks, God is much bigger and much less complicated. Today gay marriage is legal in the US, I doubt it’s going anywhere for awhile, but it wasn’t always so – nor is it legal in most of the world. If anything, a will is sufficient to satisfy most countries in the world laws in regards to property. Other then that the law on marriage is irrelevant, which is why it’s worth mentioning.

If you are unfamiliar with David and Johnathan, check out 1 Samuel 18 – 22. Read the whole story for yourself. Then continue on to when David is much older and finds Jonathan’s dead body after many years he had died, and prepares to bury him.
2 Samuel 1: 25-27

“How the mighty have fallen
in the midst of the battle!
Jonathan lies slain on your high places. I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me; your love to me was extraordinary, surpassing the love of women. “How the mighty have fallen,
and the weapons of war perished!”

Yes David got married to woman after Jonathan- but only as a King is supposed to so to pass on the royal line. All through his life, he remained committed to his first love. Luckily for you that’s not a problem (I suspect the reader isn’t a king).  I dare say, this is the model of marriage Christ would say to gay couples today.

5. Abide in me, not them

If you hadn’t figured it out, the world is a chaotic place full of contradictions. Christ promised us this would always be so, among other things. I realize to some at this point I sound as either a pro gay liberal, to others West Borough Baptist church radical. Well, I’m neither or. I am just a little fish on the internet who has studied sound scripture, loves Christ, and I’m not interested in some particular political agenda. In my own walk in Christ I have maintained the stance of by “scripture alone”, rather  man’s interpretation of scripture – which has often proven to be contradictory… well here’s the thing Christ would tell you.

There are people who will manipulate scripture. There are people who are simply at different levels of understanding it, and then there are those who ignore it entirely… a good many times these 3 types call themselves “pastors”…. yet according to scripture at the end of this world we are told our own pastors will lead us astray to take the mark of the beast – yet still, there’s many more whom still listen to them over reading scripture for themselves – or for the matter ignore the Holy spirit entirely.

Christ would have you abide in him over any one else. Including your pastor, or some other Christian, even myself. There is no other name under heaven in which we are saved… NONE. The world will try to confuse you or distract you on that point. Never forget this fact where ever you go in your walk with Christ.

Just my 2 cents

My first cent is, if someone is interested in sound doctrine on the subject of homosexuality, I highly recommend this book “Gay Christian Survivors” by Rev. James D. Cunningham. Click here to be directed to it. Honesty, it’s the most sound book I’ve ever read on the matter – what’s more its dirt cheap 🙂 as the author doesn’t charge anymore then the publishing cost.

Then there is my 2nd cent. The topic of homosexuality is highly contentious, which admittedly is why I haven’t bothered with it. It doesn’t really matter what you say about it, every one gets pissy… well I finally said “screw it”, gay people need christ too! Frankly I’m not entirely satisfied with the answers the church is giving them. On one hand there is the Liberal church apostasy introducing gay people to Buddhism, on the other hand it’s Republican church apostasy referring them to a law of which they are not bound to and is entirely taken out of context anyway. I would be remiss not to talk about gay marriage on this blog – perhaps I’ll do it more often. Unless someone can convince me by scripture alone, and not theologians or priest or learned scribes that I am wrong, I will not change one sentence of this article. Should one be pissy about it otherwise, go ahead and be pissy.  :-/

No, I will not type ‘Amen’ just to feed your ego

Have you seen this crap before on facebook?

What if I told you I skip over every single one of them?

Let me guess I’m not Christian enough for Jesus because I don’t like your stupid Facebook meme or type ‘Amen’?
Let me also guess, I am cruel and heartless for skipping this:

You know what, if I have to explain to you why I skip these stupid Facebook posts, I don’t consider your ‘Christian’ opinion valid on much ado with anything.

Matthew 6: 1-4
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.  But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,  so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

Tell me, how do you feel about this meme?
